The death of Chadwick Boseman has undeniably shaken our community. I really think it has been a trigger for me. He died on August 28th the day before my son's birthday, and just days before the anniversary of my Uncle's death. My Uncle Robert had a cancerous tumor on his brain, but his body just couldn't handle the chemotherapy. I was in labor while he was dying. We named our son after him Mayson Robert who lives life with absolutely no regrets.
Chadwick's death reminded me that when we live to our fullest potential we leave legacies. His death reminds me that we need to dig deeper no matter how much pain or uncomfortable situations are. This man acted in so many movies while undergoing chemotherapy!! The very thing that killed my Uncle he pushed through and created extremely good movies. Let that sink in.
Greatness is within you. Hold on to your purpose, and don't let it go. By serving and standing in your purpose you are blessing so many others. Imagine if Chadwick just gave into cancer and didn't make any more movies. Those moments may have still gone on to exist but they all would've been missing that piece of him that he left here on Earth for us all. Dream big and don't let what seem to be barriers get into your way!
Let me know your big dreams in the comments!
Much Love,
DQue
