Grocery store blues

I started writing this particular blog in August 2019 but for whatever reason, I kept not putting it out. With quarantine in full effect, I feel like this is the perfect time for you to read about my grocery store blues. I also would like to add that going to the store at this time is enhanced by 1,000 because everyone is at the store all at the same time these days all dang day.

You are probably are not an introvert if you've never thought, "Dang, today is Saturday. The store is probably busy right now I'll go another time." For me, my grocery store shopping is organized around what time of day it is, what day it is and how busy I think the store may be. When possible I send my husband to the store. However, that is not always feasible. 

It's crazy - when I go to the store with my dad we both have the same agenda - get in and out, but most importantly don't differ from the list. My brother and Mom, on the other hand, want to cruise down every aisle, and what list? There is no list with them there is a brief synopsis of what they want, but anything is up for grabs. I despise going to the store with them. First off, we go down pretty much every aisle. Secondly, without fail, they find some random stranger to talk to. Why? We are at the grocery store people not social hour chop chop lets go!! My tolerance is better with my brother because I have accepted his extroverted ways, but my mom I haven't quite gotten there yet. She can be more talkative than my brother so that's why I avoid grocery stores with her whenever possible.

Grocery store pick-up is the real MVP for me, especially during this quarantine. I am not sure what introvert at whatever grocery chain decided this was a great idea but they need a raise. The anxiety that I have avoided because of this wonderful feature is not missed. So what right now Kroger's grocery store pick up is not available for 3 days?  I am ok with that. Wal-mart’s grocery pick-up wait time is a week.  I am ok with that too. Introverts can we just agree on how wonderful grocery pick up is? Extroverts would you use grocery pick up or do you all already use grocery pick and does it give you as much joy as we introverts experience?

Yes, I just wrote a whole blog on the grocery store. Deal with it. LOL!!
