Empty Hustling

I have been feeling like lately, I have been doing a lot of empty hustling. "Dominique, what is empty hustling?" Well, empty hustling is doing a whole lot of work that is not leading to anything. You may be multitasking several different things at once, but not quite accomplishing anything. Empty hustling. Empty hustling is planning and planning and planning but never putting out anything waiting for smooth sailing. Empty hustling. For example, taking photoshoots without a purpose just because that feels like something you should be doing. How can this photoshoot serve you? What are your plans for this photoshoot? Everything needs a concrete reason and action to go behind it.

However, just because you have been empty hustling doesn't mean you have to keep it up. Smooth sailing more than likely will never happen, but navigating through turbulent times is what matters. Even if you are empty hustling by doing a lot of different things that don't quite connect, go back to the drawing board and figure out a connecting piece. Your life and hustles are one big puzzle. Even though family life and networking feel like they don't connect there is somehow and some way you can make them work for you. After all, the saying by Shelly Hitz, "Broken crayons still color." Things may seem broken, and like they don't all go together they are just waiting on you to make a mosaic!
