Do It Scared

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you may have seen my one year anniversary of launching my blog was August 1st. I talked about how scared I was to do it. Today I am doing it scared once again. I am working on my recipe for my candles. I have been wanting to make candles for a loooonnnngggg time but I have been too scared to do it. I have made every excuse in the book. At one time, I worked on the recipe but I quit. Today I am committed to getting it right. I am going to have some trial and error but you know what, I am ok with that. I was so afraid to fail, but today I realized that by not starting, I am failing myself. If you do not show up for you who will?

Do it scared Sis! It will be ok. I have learned that only I can change my circumstance. Nobody is going to do it for me. God is not going to make some business I want to start appear out of nowhere. I have to put in the work. I have to make the effort to get it right. God will order your steps, but he won't take the steps for you. Those steps are faith. All you need is a little mustard seed of faith, Sis. Stop comparing your start to someone else's middle. No comparison. You have no idea how long someone has worked to get where they are so it is not fair to compare yourself when you are not on the same playing field. Doing it scared doesn’t mean doing it ignorant either. Do your research.

Lastly, there is enough space for you! Just because there are a zillion candle makers; they are not YOU!! Just because you can find blogs literally everywhere; those aren't your stories! That is not your perspective. Whatever lies you keep telling yourself is just that, a lie! Have you done anything scared before? Let me know in the comments.
